About the Tapestry Folkdance Center:

We will be in the small studio closer to the front entry. This building is ADA- accessible.

There is a parking lot on the side of the building and street parking on Minnehaha.

Please note that outdoor shoes are not allowed inside the studio - plan ahead to bring some clean shoes or cozy socks!

What to Expect at a Jam:

We are all learning together;

This is a space for learning and celebrating Yiddish culture and klezmer music in community. We’ll learn parts by ear and have the opportunity to look at sheet music of traditional klezmer tunes. We may learn some Yiddish lyrics to sing or or some Yiddish circle dancing!

In the jam, there is room for singers, percussionists, non-musicians, listeners, dancers, everybody.

Bring an instrument if you play, or bring a book and just enjoy the space. All levels of engagement are welcome!
